Our Artist Development Programme is specifically designed for skilled Singers, Songwriters, Producers & Bands who want to develop their own music identity, image, sound and business, create a body of original work and take their performance, skills and knowledge to a professional level.

This year, we're offering a special one-off 6-month Artist Development Programme starting in July.
Our auditions for the full 1-year programme will open in August.

EMERGING ARTIST Development SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship at SOLE is designed to empower and support talented, up-and-coming artists as they embark on their musical journey.

If you are planning to apply for our Artist Development Programme, this scholarship may be available to you. It will provide financial support, to an individual aged 16 years and up, who demonstrates exceptional skill, passion, and potential in the music industry.

1:1 Artist Development Consult

Tailored support for emerging artists or bands who are not yet 16, can’t commit to the full programme, or just need some one-off guidance.

Whether you're developing your sound, planning a release, building your brand, or figuring out the business side — this session will help you get clear on your next steps.

Submit your form and if you are accepted, we will invite you in for an audition to discuss all aspects of this programme including the costs involved.
As we are a private academy, study link is not an option however we do provide payment plans to suit our students needs.
For 2025, we have introduced the Emerging Artist Development scholarship for this programme.
To apply, simply fill out the scholarship form. Once applicants are selected for the programme, all eligible applications will be reviewed, and the scholarship recipient will be chosen by an independent panel.

If you have successfully finished the programme, you will be considered for our Artist Release Programme.
We are aware that everyone is on their own journey and works differently. You may need a little more time to develop before releasing so we will provide you with options.
This programme will fast track your way into the music industry and get you on the right path to achieving your goals in music.
The programme for people who wish to seek alternative study and be efficient with their time and money.
The programme adheres to official NZQA standards and may become accredited in the future. However at this stage there is no formal qualification.
You will finish the programme with a clear understanding of the music industry, your own platform, sound and image and how to move forward to establish a career in music.
